PRIMARY
- September 13, 2022
Voter Registration Deadline
- August 14, 2022 - Deadline to register to vote in the primary election
Ballot Request Deadlines:
- August 15, 2022 - Deadline to fill out an online absentee ballot application request to have an application mailed to you
- August 23, 2022 at 4 p.m. - Deadline to return your completed absentee ballot application by mail
Ballot Return Deadlines:
- September 13, 2022 at 8 p.m. - Deadline for the Board of Elections to receive your completed absentee ballot (via mail or hand delivery)
GENERAL
- November 8, 2022

- October 9, 2022 - Deadline to register to vote in the general election
Ballot Request Deadlines:
- October 18, 2022 at 4 p.m. - Deadline to return your completed absentee ballot application by mail
Ballot Return Deadlines:
- November 8, 2022 at 8 p.m. - Deadline for the Board of Elections to receive your completed absentee ballot (via mail or hand delivery)
Registered voters in Rhode Island who want to vote by absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application to their local boards of canvassers as early as possible.

Polling Location:

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
Voter ID Laws:
- Rhode Island requires a valid picture ID to vote, though they make some exceptions.
