II. KNOW THE DATES
GENERAL
- November 8, 2022
Voter Registration Deadline
- October 24, 2022 - Deadline to register to vote online.
- Voters may register and vote at their clerk's office on election day.
Ballot Request Deadlines:
- November 4, 2022 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application.
Ballot Return Deadlines:
- November 8, 2022 - Absentee ballots (via mail or in person) must be received by 8 p.m.
Registered voters in Michigan who want to vote by absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application to their local clerk's office as early as possible.

Polling Location:

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
Voter ID Laws:
- Michigan encourages voters to bring identification, but voters can sign an affidavit if they do not have identification.
Accepted Credentials:
- Here is the list of accepted credentials.
- Contact your clerk for an acceptable list of options.
Don't have a valid ID?
- If you don’t bring or have an acceptable ID, you can still vote by signing an affidavit on Election Day.
