Voter Registration Deadline

October 11, 2022 - Deadline to register to vote online or postmarked by this date for mail delivery.

Absentee Ballots

Ballot Request Deadlines:

October 28, 2022 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application.

Ballot Return Deadlines:

November 8, 2022 - Absentee ballots (via mail or in person) must be received by the close of polls.

Registered voters in Georgia who want to vote by absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application to their Secretary of State's Elections Division as early as possible.

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS

Voter ID Laws:

Georgia requires a photo identification to vote.

Accepted Credentials:

Don't have a valid ID?

If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote a provisional ballot. If you are a first-time voter, you will need to provide a copy of your ID to your County Board of Elections and Registration within three days of the election. As long as you do so and are eligible to vote, your provisional ballot will be counted.
