II. KNOW THE DATES
GENERAL
- November 8, 2022
Voter Registration Deadline
- Voters may register and vote at their polling places on election day.
- November 1, 2022 - The final day for pre-election voter registration online or received by this date for mail delivery.
Ballot Request Deadlines:
- November 7, 2022 - Final day to request and return a completed absentee ballot application.
Ballot Return Deadlines:
- November 8, 2022 - Absentee ballots (via mail or in person) must be received by 8 p.m.
Registered voters in Connecticut who want to vote by absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application to their town clerk as soon as possible.

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS
Voter ID Laws:
- Connecticut only requires identification for first-time voters.
Accepted Credentials:

- Contact your town clerk for an acceptable list of options.
Don't have a valid ID?
- If you do not have any of the above IDs, you can still vote by signing a State affidavit.
