GENERAL

• November 8, 2022.

Voter Registration Deadline

• October 11, 2022 - Deadline to register to vote.

Absentee Ballot

Ballot Request Deadlines:

• October 25, 2022 - Final day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail or in person.

Ballot Return Deadlines:

• November 8 - Last day for hand-delivered or mail-in absentee ballots to be delivered.

Registered voters in American Samoa who want to vote by an absentee ballot this fall should submit an absentee ballot application to the Chief Election Officer as early as possible.

Polling Location:

• Find your polling site online.

V. WHAT TO TAKE TO THE POLLS

Voter ID Laws:

• You need to show a valid ID to vote. You can use a valid American Samoa Voter ID card with photo or valid U.S. passport.

Accepted Credentials:

• This article provides a list of accepted credentials to obtain a voter registration card.
• Contact the American Samoa Election Office for a list of acceptable credentials.

Don't have a valid ID?

• If you don't have a valid American Samoa Voter ID card with photo or valid U.S. passport, you may show a combination of two IDs comprising of other government-issued photo IDs and/or your birth certificate.
